Doors will open on more than 30,000 square feet of gaming, food and entertainment space at 11 a.m. Monday in Mobile, when entertainment company Dave & Buster's welcomes patrons into its newest location.
The venue's site, at 1757 E. Interstate 65 Service Road, puts it directly across U.S. 90 from another relatively new entertainment destination, the Top Golf that opened in 2023.
Dave & Buster's offers arcade games, dining, cocktails and a sports-bar setting, all in a family-friendly environment. According to promotional materials, the new Mobile store features "over 100 of the latest arcade games," including "new and classic arcade games where hard-earned tickets can be redeemed for a variety of exciting prizes, including Apple products, Xbox consoles, Beats by Dre, etc. Guests can also find many fun games, including Godzilla VR, Wicked Tuna, life-size versions of Hungry Hungry Hippos and Minecraft Dungeons Arcade."
The store is the company's third in Alabama, after locations in Huntsville and Birmingham. It's also the first in the swath of Gulf Coast territory between locations in Panama City Beach and New Orleans. The company operates around 170 Dave & Buster's locations in 43 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada; it recently celebrated the opening of a location in Bangalore, India.
"We are so excited to open a new Dave & Buster's location in Mobile," General Manager Travis Hamilton said in a press release announcing the opening. "As Mobile's premier entertainment attraction, we look forward to hosting the community for major sporting event watch parties on the biggest and best screens and offering new and classic arcade games and delicious new menu items, such as our Brekky Smashed Burger, Gold Dust Rita and Smore's Cheesecake."
The first 100 people in line for the Mobile opening on Monday, Jan. 13, will receive Power Cards with Unlimited Video Game Play on many games for the entire day.
