Bo Nix looks as good as advertised.
With over 3,200 yards and 22 touchdowns through 15 games, Nix -- paired with Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton -- has evolved into a quarterback who will get better with time and could grow to be a franchise cornerstone. That is why he was the Broncos' first-round draft pick in April.
Craig Carton, who appears on FS1's Breakfast Ball, seems sold on Nix as a franchise cornerstone. Carton says this despite Nix not leading the Broncos to a win against the Los Angeles Chargers this past Thursday night. His performance -- 29-0f-40 (72.5%) for two touchdowns with 263 yards in the air -- has Carton convinced that the Broncos have a franchise quarterback.
Nix will get a chance to put the loss behind him when the Broncos face the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Week 17. That game will have massive playoff implications in the AFC.
