Parts of the M62 were closed overnight last night (December 21) after snow, high winds and flooding hit north Greater Manchester.
Yorkshire Live reported disruption on the motorway between Huddersfield and Saddleworth.
Traffic analysts Inrix confirmed that a lane of the motorway was closed between junction 24 at Ainley Top and junction 22 at Rishworth Moor.

Inrix stated: "One lane closed due to snow on M62 Eastbound from J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor) to J24 A629 (Ainley Top). Lanes one and Two Open."
One motorist tweeted: "Sketchy drive to Manchester Airport this morning. Strong winds, snow, hail, rain, motorway's like an ice rink. Careful if you're out and about."
A yellow weather warning has been in place for much of the country since 7am on Saturday, with most of our region experiencing strong winds and heavy rain ever since. The warning is in place until 9pm this evening (Sunday 22).
And it comes on one of the busiest weekends of the year for motorway travel, with roadside assistance company RAC estimating seven million leisure trips will be made over the last weekend before Christmas.
